Below you’ll find a guide on and general steps to uninstall Clerk.io from your JTL store.

Removing S360 from your plugins. #

You can remove and uninstall Clerk from your webshop by going to Plugins -> Installed Plugins. Click on the gear next to the plugin to remove it.

Also be aware that removing plugin does not cancel your subscription. You will need to do this in your my.clerk.io account and we cannot do this action for you due to GDPR.You can follow this guide to do it.

To remove Clerk.io from your Magento 1 store, you’ll need to disable the extension within your Magento 1 admin portal.

Log into your webshop’s Magento 1 portal, then select " System" > " Configuration" from the top menu.

On the next page, find " Clerk" on the left-side menu, and choose " Settings". From here you’ll see “Clerk Settings” appear. Next to " Enable", select " No" from the dropdown menu to no longer enable the Clerk.io extension.

Removing Visitor Tracking and Sales Tracking #

To remove Clerk.io tracking from your webshop, you’ll need to remove both the Visitor and Sales tracking scripts from your Shopify theme files and " Additional Scripts" section.

  • First, you’ll remove your visitor tracking scripts from the theme file where you initially placed the embed code during setup. Visitor Tracking is likely within the webshop’s “theme.liquid”, “index.liquid” file.

Using Grouped Products as Variants

Per standard, Magento uses Configurable Products to handle main-products and variants. The Clerk.io extension has been made to support this, as it is the best-practice for Magento.

However, if you have setup your Variants using Grouped Products, your sales-tracking will not work, since you will be tracking ID’s of products, that Clerk.io has not imported from your Magento webshop. This is because Variants usually are not visible.

When implementing Clerk.io on your webshop, you might see that your changes do not take effect when using an Extension.

Often this happens because of one of these reasons:

  • You have an external cache system like CloudFlare, which is still displaying the old version of the page, without the sliders or search.

  • You have a pagebuilder or other plugin that is blocking the Clerk.io extension from adding the elements.

If using an external cache make sure that you clear the cache completely after you have saved your changes in the extension.

If you have activated the powerstep popup and it does not show when adding a product to the basket, the issue is often because of Cache.

1. Start by going to System => Cache and clear all Internal and Third Party Caches.

2. If it does not solve it, you are likely using Full Page cache, which only impacts the pages a visitor has already viewed in their session. Deactivating it will have a minimal impact on page speed.
