Sync Data

Import your catalogue and order history into Clerk.io.

Import your ideal.shop products, categories, and orders into Clerk.io to provide the data used by Search and Recommendations.

Before you start, enable the integration, including Feed offentligt.

Configure Feed #

The feed URL controls how many records ideal.shop makes available. Without explicit limits, the feed returns only 10 records per data type.

  1. In ideal.shop, go to Indstillinger > Integrationer > Clerk.io.
  2. Copy the full URL shown under Sti til feed.
  3. Add ?orders=10000&products=10000&categories=10000 to the URL for the first import.

For example, if your feed is located at https://example.com/feeds/clerk_io_feed.json, use:

https://example.com/feeds/clerk_io_feed.json?orders=10000&products=10000&categories=10000

Use your own feed URL. These values request up to 10,000 orders, 10,000 products, and 10,000 categories so the first import includes your catalogue and order history.

Start Sync #

Configure Clerk.io to read the feed using the URL with the limits included.

  1. In my.clerk.io, open the matching Store and go to Data > Configuration.
  2. Select Clerk.io JSON Feed as the sync method, which reads all data types from a single feed.
  3. Paste the full feed URL, including the query parameters, into the feed URL field.
  4. Save the configuration and click Start New Data Sync.
  5. Wait for the sync to complete, then check the imported product, category, and order counts.

For more detail on the sync status and logs, see Data Sync.

Check Limits #

Compare the imported counts with your webshop totals to confirm that the first import includes all available data.

If any count is exactly 10,000, the feed may have reached its limit. Increase the corresponding parameter and run another sync. Repeat until the imported counts match your webshop totals.

For example, if you import exactly 10,000 products, increase products to a higher value while keeping the other parameters in the URL.

Ongoing Imports #

After the first complete import, reduce the order limit to the 50 most recent orders. Clerk.io keeps the order history already imported, so subsequent feeds only need to include recent orders.

Update the feed URL in Data > Configuration to use orders=50. Keep the product and category limits high enough to include your full catalogue:

https://example.com/feeds/clerk_io_feed.json?orders=50&products=10000&categories=10000

Use higher product or category limits if needed. If your webshop receives more than 50 orders between syncs, increase orders so orders are not missed.
