Sync Data

Synchronize Audiences between Clerk.io and MagNews.

Integration Setup #

To maintain Audiences in MagNews, you need to follow the below steps:

  1. In my.clerk.io, go to Settings > Integrations and click New Exporter.

  2. From the dropdown, select MagNews and give it a name of your choice.

  3. In the MagNews backend, start by going to Management > System > Digital Certificates .

  4. Click New Certificate and name it “Clerk.io”

  5. Set Type of certificate to OAuth 2.0 Client Application.

  6. Give it an Application ID and a Display Name and set an App Secret.

  7. Navigate to Management > System > Token Management and choose your new certificate from the list.

  8. Choose your User in Create a token for user .

  9. Click Create .

  10. Click on the magnifying glass icon.

  11. Copy your refresh_token into the Refresh Token field in my.clerk.io

  12. Fill out App ID with the Application ID you created earlier.

  13. Fill out App Secret with the App Secret you created earlier.

  14. Set the MagNews Database ID to use.

  15. Click Update exporter to finalize the setup.

Audience Sync #

You can now create Audiences and choose MagNews as an option under the Export tab of each Audience you create. This will continuously sync the Audience with MagNews, where you can send marketing to them.
