Each points of the dashboard has one of 3 statuses:
- Red: Critical for showing the right results.
- Yellow: Could be improved for slightly better results.
- Green: Works as expected.
If you see any issues marked with red, it’s highly advised to fix them as soon as possible, as otherwise you will lose out on valuabe sales through Clerk.
Below is a description of why each of these checks are important.
Check | Description |
---|---|
Sales tracking | Clerk’s AI relies heavily on order data to show the right recommendations. Sales-tracking sends new orders to Clerk in real-time, which keeps your results up to date. |
Clerk sales | When sales are influenced by Clerk, both sales-tracking and click-tracking are working, giving Clerk the proper base for optimizing results and showing statistics. |
Number of orders | Clerk builds a network between products and orders. The more different products have at least 1 sale, the better Clerk understands connections in your catalogue |
Meta keywords | More descriptive text for your products makes it easier for Clerk to connect them and show them in results. Meta keywords are good for further describing your products. |
Gender | For stores that sell clothing and other gender-specific products, it’s recommended to include this product attribute, as it makes it easier for Clerk to suggest alternatives and cross-sell products for the same gender as the product being browsed. |
Data sync configuration | Clerk should sync data for products and categories to avoid showing wrong prices, out-of-stock products, etc. |
Latest data sync | Sometimes, if you make breaking changes to your webshop, the sync can stop running. It’s important to fix this as soon as possible, as otherwise Clerk will not be able to show the right results. |
Active products | Clerk should be able to show as many saleable products as possible. |
Attributes | These are used to compare products and let customers find them in search results. Make sure you send all the relevant attributes for your products, like color, size, price, description, etc. |
Oldest order | Clerk uses your entire order history to show results, so ideally, you should send orders going all the way back to the first one you tracked in your webshop. |
Categories | You should sync all your active categories as these are used by Clerk to group products e.g. for Alternatives, Bestsellers in Category and more. |
Products in categories | Ideally, all your products should be connected to at least one category. |
Orders with sales data | All your orders should contain at least one reference to a product, even if the product is no longer available. |
Active products in orders | For Clerk to make the best connections, you should ideally have a lot of your active products included in your order data. |
Product images | Users tend to be very visual, so good product images are crucial. Their resolution should match size shown on your webshop, without scaling. |
SKUs provided | Your employees and tend to use SKUs for finding products. Make sure to include them for all your products. |
Brand / Manufacturer | Many consumers stick with brands they like, so it’s important to include this attribute for your products. |
